About the Association

A formally governed, politically neutral civic institution serving Leondale & Roodekop since 2024.

Who We Are

The Leondale & Roodekop Ratepayers' Association is a formally constituted civic organisation representing property owners, tenants, and businesses in Leondale and Roodekop, Ekurhuleni.

We are not a protest group or a WhatsApp community. We are a registered, constituted institution with a comprehensive governance framework, an elected Executive Committee, and a Legal Defense Fund — built to protect this community for decades.

We engage the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality procedurally, with documentation, legal awareness, and structured escalation — never emotionally.

Our Governance Structure

The Association operates a three-chamber governance model.

A strategic leadership body of 7–9 elected members responsible for day-to-day operations and decision-making.

Advisory Council

A non-governing panel of respected professionals — attorneys, engineers, urban planners, finance professionals, and security experts — who advise the EXCO.

Community Assembly

All registered members form the democratic authority. The Assembly votes on levies, litigation, major infrastructure initiatives, and CID formation.
